BUILDING FOR LIFE VISION CAMPAIGN

The goal for the Building for Life Vision Campaign is to provide the tools and create the spaces in which the real building takes place: building students for life – academically, athletically, creatively, socially and spiritually.

Here are the specific campaign initiatives that give life to this vision…

NEW SHELBY FARMS CAMPUS ENTRANCE

The new entrance transforms this campus, bolstering security with a permanent guardhouse and gate, increasing safety by improving traffic flow, and greeting our visitors and students’ families with a proper welcome that better reflects the hospitality for which our community is known.

EARLY CHILDHOOD WING & PLAYGROUND

This new light-filled, eight-classroom addition and accompanying playground, built in response to our growing enrollment, provides the necessary space for our youngest learners to grow in wonder of our world and its Creator.

SPRING SPORTS VENUE

Our rich heritage of successful athletics has kept passionate ECS fans cheering for decades. We are investing in our spring sports venue to serve our spring sports fans. We will add new bleachers to hold more fans, add turf to the baseball infield, regrade the softball field and add restrooms and concessions.

CREATING AN UPPER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AT THE SHELBY FARMS CAMPUS

Our Lower School is growing exponentially as more families choose to partner with ECS in Christian discipleship education. Beginning in 2023-2024, fourth and fifth grades will move to the Shelby Farms campus to join 6th grade in creating an upper elementary building at the Shelby Farms campus, freeing up space at the Germantown location to accommodate more early childhood students. This transition will benefit upper elementary grades as teachers of these grades can more easily collaborate with middle school teachers to ensure better vertical alignment of curriculum, grading benchmarks and learning goals. In addition, students will have greater access to our outstanding varsity athletics coaches and fine arts personnel as well as access to our improved middle and upper school facilities.

FINE ARTS CONSERVATORY

In order to maximize spaces on the Shelby Farms campus, we plan to consolidate our Fine Arts under one roof. Adding classroom spaces to the back of the chapel for visual and digital arts, drama, dance, band, and choir with recording studio will give Fine Arts one expanded, cohesive space, further unifying creative expression with Creator worship.

SHELBY FARMS CLASSROOM RENOVATIONS & STEM SPACE

Preparing today’s learners for tomorrow’s careers requires learning spaces that provide the hands-on experience necessary to pique the STEM interests of the next generations of architects, builders, mathematicians, scientists and engineers. We want to upgrade our Shelby Farms campus classrooms and STEM lab to better accomplish this goal.

We ask that you prayerfully consider how you may help us give feet to this vision and further our unique mission in the Memphis area:  to provide the Christian family a Christ-centered, biblically directed education that challenges students to know the Lord Jesus Christ and to develop the vision and practice of excellence in academics, character, leadership and service to others.

It is indeed a great day to be an Eagle!
