As one of only four area students chosen, Haddy Betapudi is a Keeper of the Dream!
Senior Haddy Betapudi was one of four area students chosen as a Keeper of the Dream award winner. The award honors hard working students dedicated to advocating for equal rights and opportunities in the community. Sponsored by International Paper, the presentation ceremony was on October 19 during the Student Forum, the opening event for the celebration of the National Civil Rights Museum's Freedom Award which is given to individuals who are diligently working to expand freedom and opportunities for all people.
Haddy established Memphis Connects described as "a cultural awareness exchange program to challenge racial and socioeconomic stereotype assumptions between public and private high school students."
