LIBRARY

ECS Lower School Library makes up a vibrant part of the learning experience. Please try out our library widgets, which allow access to the entire library collection. With a public library card, an additional 3,500 Tennessee Reads books will be ready for electronic checkout.  Tennessee Reads has assembled school collections specially chosen to be age- and content-appropriate.

There are six primary document databases from FactCite, covering history, mythology, countries, and changes/changers of society and culture. A subscription to Digital Theatre+ also has made a splash for MS and HS.

Please direct questions about the school collections, Accelerated Reader, how to reserve books, or access databases to our librarian, Amanda Thompson

The Upper Elementary Library is a place for 4th-6th graders to explore new authors and titles as well as for collaborative study and tutoring at designated times. Students have a scheduled time once each week to browse and check out books facilitated by two teachers, Alicia Henager and Erin Duffy. Students are encouraged to share their recommendations with other students via book review bookmarks and with Mrs. Henager and Mrs. Duffy as we add to the collection. Sixth graders play an important role by volunteering to help check out books from 7:45-8:10 each morning, while high schoolers serve the UE library during selected hours of the school day.
