Soccer Lady Eagles-3 Games in Just Over 24 Hours

Strong defensive play from the entire back line and solid keeper play provided 3 shutouts for the Lady Eagles!

Due to a quirk of the schedule, the Lady Eagles finished the regular season by playing 3 district opponents in just over 24 hours. In the first of the 3 games, the Lady Eagles hosted Fayette Academy. The ladies continued their strong possession play of late and dominated play. Excellent ball and player movement created numerous chances and would lead to a decisive 9-0 result. Goal scorers included 4 for Maddy Stolnicki, 2 for Lesley Coleman, 1 for Ally Ellzey, 1 for Annie Todd, and 1 for Jada Deck.

The Lady Eagles next traveled to FACS to face a feisty Crusader team that provided a stiff test. They once again controlled the majority of the possession leading to a 2-0 halftime lead. The game opened up some in the second half leading to a final victory score of 6-0. Goal scorers included 2 for Stolnicki, 1 for Ellzey, and 1 for Coleman.

For the final game of the 3, the Lady Eagles traveled back to Legends Field and faced Sacred Heart from Jackson. The short turn around was no issue for the ladies this night with a final score of 10-0. Goal scores were 2 for Cati Shorten, 2 for Stolnicki, 1 for Phoebe Harpole, 1 for Rachel Ricketts, 1 for Hailey Rogers, 1 for Emma Hudson, 1 for Todd, and 1 for Coleman.

Strong defensive play from the entire back line and solid keeper play from Taylor Huffman and Meredith Wicktom provided 3 shutouts. The ladies begin region tournament play next week as they continue their march back to the state tournament.
