Lady Eagles Soccer Gets Big District Win

The Lady Eagles defeated USJ 9-0 in an important district game!

The Lady Eagles Soccer team hosted USJ in an important district game with the regional tournament just around the corner. Senior night got off to a great start with the pregame honoring the team's two seniors, Bailey Pittman and Maddy Stolnicki. ECS wasted no time taking control of the game from the start with great possession and ball movement. Junior Alden Rooker got the scoring started with a long shot just

over the goalie's hand from about 30 yards. This was followed quickly by a nice finish by freshman Phoebe Harpole after beautiful buildup from the the whole team and an assist by Cati Shorten. Maddy Stolinicki made it 3-0 and Phoebe's second goal of the night made it 4-0. Freshman Nora Burton completed the first half scoring with a nice attack up the middle of the field and finish.

After halftime the Lady Eagles picked up where they left off. Maddy scored on a screamer of a free kick from just outside the 18 yard box. Freshman Heather Galloway

scored her first goal of the year to make the score 7-0. Maddy scored the final two goals of the game giving her 4 on the night and making the final 9-0.

The win brings their record to 6-3-3 and 2-0 in the district. ECS plays next on Saturday in Jackson against Sacred Heart as they continue to wrap up district games for the year.
